SHOUKA 2004
SIX FLAGS: MARINE WORLD

Former SFWoA orca, Shouka, is seen in photos below at her new residence at
Six Flags: Marine World during her first summer in California.

Shouka is the orca/killer whale that captivated audiences at
Six Flags: Worlds of Adventure in 2002 and 2003.

Shouka will celebrate her 12th birthday in March 2005!

Six Flags: Marine World in Vallejo, California is the home to many of the animals that were part of Six Flags: Worlds of Adventure.

The animals, mostly marinelife, were relocated after the Aurora, OH park was sold to Cedar Fair, LP, operators of Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH, in Spring of 2004.

Shouka is the orca/killer whale that captivated audiences at
Six Flags: Worlds of Adventure in 2002 and 2003.

Shouka recently was joined by some new in-tank friends! Two dolphins, Sadie (who was at SFWoA) and Merlin, a male (and the father of a new female calf that was born at SFMW in Summer 2004 - the mother's name is Chelsea) were moved to "Shouka Stadium" during Fall 2004. Both dolphins have lived at the stadium, along with several others, in the past, where a killer whale and dolphin show were presented. Shouka has shown alot of interest in the dolphins, which shouldn't be too surprising, since these are the first cetaceans she's been around for a few years.
